Below are recipes created by the scouts and scoutmasters of our troop. Enjoy!
In a sandwich freezer bag, add:
Half 5.6 oz. Couscous Roasted Garlic & Olive Oil Mix
Half Spice Packet
2/3 cup Dried vegetables
In a small cook pan, bring to a boil:
1.5 Cups Water
1 teaspoon Olive Oil
1 can Chicken 0.3 oz. (include juice)
1st: add dry ingredients from bag, stir, and let stand
(covered) for 7 minutes
2nd: cool and eat
3rd: include snack bar, fruit (dried?), and drink for complete evening meal
You will need:
1 bag of spinach
2 bags of mozzarella cheese
2 jars of tomato sauce
1 plate of hamburger meat
1 box of lasagna noodles
1st: boil some water and put 4 lasagna noodles in it
2nd: cook hamburger meat on another stove
3rd: when the noodles are floppy, take them out and put them in your Dutch
Oven side by side
4th: then pour some tomato sauce over the noodles and spread it evenly
5th: after that you need to put your spinach over the sauce and spread it
evenly
6th: put 4 more noodles in the boiling water until they are floppy and then
put them side by side over the spinach
7th: put some more tomato sauce over the noodles
8th: put the evenly cooked hamburger meat over the noodles
9th: put another layer of tomato sauce over the meat DO NOT PUT ANY MORE
NOODLES
10th: put 1.5 bags of cheese over the tomato sauce
11th: last put 4 more noodles over the cheese
COOK UNTIL CHEESE IS FULLY MELTED AND NOODLES ARE JUST A LITTLE BROWN ON TOP
In a quart freezer bag, add:
4 cups Cheerios (Team flavor)
1/3 cup Powdered dry Milk
1/4 cup dried bananas or strawberries
1st: Just add water and eat.
You will need:
1 #10 spaghetti sauce
5 lbs hamburger
3 lbs hot sausage
5 lbs mozzarella cheese
2 large containers of cottage cheese
6 eggs
2 lbs lasagna noodles
Dutch oven
10" skillet
large pot
1st: brown meat, drain, set aside
2nd: mix cottage cheese and eggs and set aside
3rd: boil noodles
4th: in layers place meat,cheeses,& noodles in dutch oven
5th: when dutch oven is about full pour in spaghetti sauce
6th: put remaining cheese on top
7th: cover and cook about 45 min on charcoal or hot coals, top & bottom
serve with garlic bread
You will need:
3 large onions
2 bags of potato chips
2 8oz. bags of shredded cheese
1 8oz. can of cream soup (mushroom, celery or chicken)
Cayan Pepper
Dutch Oven
Charcoal and Lighter Fluid
Can opener

1st: oil the Dutch Oven
2nd: layer sliced onions,crushed potato chips and cheese until 1" from top
of oven
3rd: pour cream soup over the top
4th: add cayan pepper to taste
5th: cook in Dutch oven 1 to 1/12 hours, or until onion are tender
You will need:
5-6 cored apples(not sliced)
5-6 pinnaple slices
5-6 cherries
enough rasins to fill 5-6 cored apples
pinnaple juice(from can)

tin foil
1st: cover the inside of the dutch oven with tin foil
2nd: put whole cored apples into dutch oven so it fills it up (which is
about 5 or 6 apples depending on the size of the dutch oven)
3rd: put raisins where the cores of the apples were
4th: put a slice of pinnapple on each apple
5th: put a cherry in the middle of each pinnapple
6th: pour a little bit of pinnaple juice over everything
7th: cover the oven and let it sit under hot coals for 30 minutes
You will need:
2 large jars salsa prefer type with veggie chunks (Southwest style)
2 LBS Cheap hamburger
2 bars of cream cheese
2 8 oz bags of shredded cheese, Mexican or taco flavored
2 or more bags of tortilla chips for dipping
Optional Hot sauce I prefer Preditor or Daves Insanity DO NOT add to pot!
Large Dutch Oven
Large Metal Spoon for stirring
1st: over a hot fire add hamburger to dutch oven and
brown (cover and stir frequently) do not drain off
2nd: add salsa heat until bubbling (cover and stir frequently)
3rd: add cream cheese allow to melt completely (cover and stir frequently)
4th: add shredded cheese (cover and stir frequently, untill melted)
5th: allow mixture to bubble, it's now ready to serve
Your will need:
4 lbs. smoked polish sausages cut into 1/2" slices
1/2 cup spicy mustard
2 med. yellow onions halved then sliced
4 cloves garlic minced
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup beer
1st: to a 12" Dutch oven add sausage and onion
2nd: in a medium bowl combine remaining ingredients and stir to mix well
3rd: pour over sausages and onion and then stir to mix
4th: place lid on oven and bake using 8-10 briquettes bottom and 12-14
briquettes top
5th: cook for 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes
You will need:
1 large pack of frozen skinless, boneless chicken breast
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
large box of instant rice
1 pound of bacon
2 bags of shreaded cheddar cheese.
1 medium to large cooking pot
1 large dutch oven
tongs
a knife
a serving spoon
water
salt
pepper
1 stick butter
1st: Boil chicken breast untill done
2nd: Remove chicken and allow to cool
3rd: Add rice to water and add butter
4th: Preheat dutch oven
5th: Cut bacon into small pieces
6th: Dice chicken into small pieces
7th: Layer ingrediences as follows
8th: Bacon on bottom, rice, soup, then cheese
9th: Continue this untill oven is full or you run out of items
Cook about 20 minutes or untill done
You will need:
Good-sized Onion
Egg
Dutch Oven
1st: cut one half off of an unpeeled onion and scoop
out most of the interior, being careful not to hole the onion
2nd: break an egg into the cavity
3rd: place the onion directly on the coals and replace the 'lid'
cooking time depends on the thickness of the remaining onion walls
you'll end up with a basically hard-boiled egg and a couple of layers of
onion to eat
